Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actress, dancer and singer since the early 1990s. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Hair. In the musical, Hair. Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford has spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed actors and directors in theatre and on television. she will continue that collaboration with a variety of upcoming projects. Ashford will next be seen with Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. This film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023 and will star alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford was a part of two seasons in the CBS successful comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Her additional Broadway credits includes Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the originating role of Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Born and raised in Denver Ashford now splits her days between Los Angeles and New York.
